Need help configuring the program? Have any questions regarding its use?
What happens when the Email&Parser encounters a problem and fails to send an email, for example, due to network failure or problems with recipient's email account?
Does it try to resend automatically? If YES, how many times and at what interval? If NO, how do I get it to try to resend?
How do I know when the Email&Parser has encountered a problem sending an email?
Does it keep a log of "Sent Email" activity? If YES, where and how can I view the log?
Hello,
What happens when the Email&Parser encounters a problem and fails to send an email, for example, due to network failure or problems with recipient's email account?
The email action will fail, and the corresponding error will be shown on the Email&Parser output. You can set other actions to run only if it failed. For example, if you want to do three consectutive sending attempts, create three identical send email actions and set the run condition of second one to run only when the first one fails, and the third one to run only when the second fails.
Does it try to resend automatically? If YES, how many times and at what interval? If NO, how do I get it to try to resend?
No. You need to chain various identical actions as explained in the first response. You can also do some advanced error handling (and even reporting) writing a script-based action.
Does it keep a log of "Sent Email" activity? If YES, where and how can I view the log?
Email&Parser can be configured to log _all_ the output of the email processing in a text file (see preferences) but it is not possible to log only a specific error. But there is a small hack:

- Create an empty action, do not choose the action type. Give it a name , for example "sending email failed".
- Set this empty action to run when the send email action fails.
- Now process your incoming emails normally, clicking on the "play" button.
- Open your email history window, filter emails by processing result and type "sending email failed". This will show you when that action failed and which were the incoming emails that needs to be reprocessed.

Note: This needs version 3.4
