What is an action?

The third step of Email Parser, after checking the email sources and parsing the incoming email, is running the actions.

Actions are used to update a database, create a row in a spreadsheet, run an external tool, etc. There is a wide range of action types, as you can see on the screenshot below. Check out the menu on the left of this page to see detailed information about each action type.

Bear in mind that the Email Parser Web app supports most of the actions, but not all. Specially those that involve local files or running external commands are not supported. Check out the compatibility table.
