I am trying to setup an email source with gmail using Type: POP server and I get the following:

Connecting to pop.gmail.com

Error.Socket connection has been refused by remote host. InnerException message follows: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it 67.215.65.132:995
Can the "Process emails" function run as a service?
Hello,

No, it cannot be run as a system service, sorry. But it is currently on the roadmap for the next version as many users have already requested it.

Were you finally able to make your google email account work? Check the port settings and the SSL check box.
Hi,
I have the same problem for setting up my email sources. i Get the error:
Error.Socket connection has timed out. InnerException message follows: A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond 74.208.122.36:110

I've tried different servers(gmail, hotmail, mail.com) and different ports and yet i get the same error.
I think its because i am behind a firewall in my office and the port 110 is not open. So i should ask the admin to make sure that this is port allowed.

Did you - get gmail working
If so please post solution
Having trouble connecting to the IMAP mail server, I followed all the instructions, have added all the details correctly, have set the IMAP mail server as email.google.com, as my IMAP email is gmail, entered my username, email address, and password, click to test but I am getting the same error message as others users have posted here.
A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond (and some IP address numbers)

Checked the port setting and SSL, tried again, still not working.
Hello,

I am sorry but I have found that it was a bug on how IMAP on SSL was handled. Hopefully I have just fixed it. Please, grab the new installer from the download section:

I have set up my own gmail account as this and worked fine:
